The loss of a family member is never easy, but if you know me, you know my grandpa was my rock. His name was Kippie Warden and he worked at Exxon in Krotz Springs for over 40 years. He was kind and everyone loved him dearly. He was my life. I don’t know a day without him. He was our only active parent growing up and so suddenly our worlds have changed forever.
On top of the devastation and grief, we’ve accumulated funeral expenses/financial obligations. My grandpa was the main breadwinner and I’m stepping up overnight to take responsibility for bills like his car note, his camper note, and the camper lot rent. This is our home and I seriously can't lose it. I also have to get an attorney to do a succession and get everything switched into my name and situate our home. So, there's also attorney fees that I'm going to have to pay for.
If you know me, you know my situation isn't easy and is definitely quite hard to deal with. Right now, I'm working on everything as much as I can and also picking up my brother from school while also trying to make time to handle all this. My grandpa also had unfinished business, such as getting our old damaged trailer moved/demolished for our new one to be moved.
Thank you to those who have reached out and those who are praying for our situation and loss at this time. It takes a village to get through times like these. Anything helps and is appreciated.
