Please Help the Yuwa Family Survive

On the night of February 18, 2022, a sprinkler malfunctioned in the middle of our dinner service at Yuwa Japanese Cuisine, flooding the entire restaurant and everyone inside with water and causing severe damage.
Just when we were finally starting to recover after an extremely difficult couple of years, our restaurant has now been forced to close for the foreseeable future while we undergo extensive repairs.
The cost of the repairs will be covered by insurance; however, unfortunately our hardworking staff will likely not be fully covered for their lost wages and gratuity earnings while the restaurant is closed and they're not able to work. Even if we’re able to fight for partial coverage, it will take a very long time to process, leaving all our staff in a very tough financial situation in the meantime.
We are a family-owned neighbourhood restaurant serving our community for nearly five years as Yuwa (16 years including Zest). We would not usually reach out for help, though our staff are truly a part of our family and we are devastated that the flood has put them in a compromised position.
I am organizing this fundraiser as a co-worker of all beneficiaries. Please help us keep our family together!
If you are able, a donation of any size would be so greatly appreciated. The fund will be distributed to support affected staff members that were supposed to be working while repair is on going. So they will be able to pay rent and have food on the table for their family.
With your support, we will be able to survive yet another set-back and look forward to welcoming you back to our dining room as soon as possible.
