I never imagined I’d be asking for help like this, but life has put us in a tough spot that we can’t get through alone.

My boyfriend and I have been living with his grandfather and his mom, helping care for him until he sadly passed away a few months ago. Because the will wasn’t notarized, the house now has to be sold — and after splitting the sale, what’s left isn’t enough for all of us to find safe housing in our area, so we would rather his mom be taken care of in that sense and we go our separate ways.

We’re still young and working hard to build our future, but the sudden loss and financial hit have left us with very limited options. Apartments aren’t possible: we have five pets that are our whole world. They are family to us and we cannot give them up — my dog especially has severe anxiety and is deeply bonded to me; I’ve worked in animal rescue and know firsthand what could happen if he ends up with the wrong person. He's a lot to handle, but that's my baby boy!

We’ve searched and searched, and the best chance we have to stay together and safe is to buy a used RV. We’re not looking to travel or live luxuriously — just to have a secure roof over our heads so we can keep working, save up, and create a better future.

We found an older RV in great condition for $16,000 through a private seller. It’s spacious enough for our little family and within reach if we can raise the funds soon. the seller isn't giving us much time to hold onto it, and it's very hard to come by something as reliable as that with the low price that it is.

Right now, we’re living off a single income, with bills and only one vehicle to get to work. I lost my job due to the anxiety and stress that came along with helping to care for my boyfriend’s grandfather and I’m doing everything I can to get back on my feet. I DoorDash for extra funds at the moment and my boyfriend works, but it's hard to find jobs around here that pay more than $14/hr.

I know times are hard for everyone, but if you can donate anything or even share our story, it would mean the world to us and our pets. Every dollar gets us closer to having a safe, stable home where we can keep our family together and focus on building a brighter future.
