Two years ago, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. We pursued every treatment option available and followed every recommendation from her doctors, but unfortunately, the cancer has not responded.
In January, we were told she may have about six months left. Since then, we’ve focused on what matters most—spending time together, making memories, and surrounding her with love, especially from her grandkids. Two weeks ago, she was placed on hospice care.
This has been the slowest, most heartbreaking journey our family has ever faced.
Because of her condition, she’s been unable to work, and with the help of close friends and our small family, we’ve done everything we can to stay afloat financially. We’ve now reached a point where our resources are exhausted. Her water was shut off recently, though a kind friend was able to restore it the same day. Now we are facing the possibility of losing gas and electricity as well, along with ongoing household expenses and the cost of maintaining her strict dietary needs.
It’s incredibly hard for us to ask for help, but we know how deeply she is loved, and we believe there are people who would want to support her during this time.
If you are able to give in any way, no amount is too small, and we are truly grateful. More than anything, we just want her to be comfortable, at peace, and free from stress in the time she has left.
Thank you for your love, support, and prayers.
