Help Us Keep Ghost: Fund My Cat's Eye Surgery

Hi, My name is Jasmine I would like to raise £950 for my cat, Ghost's, eye surgery. We first noticed a slight swelling and build-up of mucus around Ghost's eye. We took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with "Cherry Eye". I had no idea what cherry eye was until Ghost had been diagnosed with it. If you don't know what it is, it's essentially when the third eyelid is held in place by fibers, and for some cats, if these fibers are weak, the tear gland will stick out. This is often referred to as a cherry eye. Cherry eyes can occur in any breed of cat but are more common in Persian (Ghots Breed) and Burmese cats. When we bought Ghost we knew there would be some health conditions due to him being a Persian cat, however, we didn't expect anything to happen so soon. The surgery Ghost has to get is around £950 and that's not something that my family can afford at the moment, this is because my mum is having a baby in late July and won't be able to work for at least a few months, because of this we cant afford to save money and pay for the surgery

We first got Ghost on the 24th of August last year. At that time he was perfectly healthy (and VERY vocal on the way home). As it was the summer holidays, I was out in charge of feeding, caring for, and watching Ghost while my mum was at work. (I didn't mind this as he was the cutest kitten ever, and still is) After a few weeks, we adopted his brother from the same litter, (Vinnie) from our Aunt who wasn't allowed cats at that time, we still have Vinnie to this day and he'd hate for his best friend to be taken from him.
