Hello, my name is Mikah Hammond, and I’m reaching out for help on behalf of my family — my wife Casey and our daughter Charlee.

We are currently facing a devastating legal battle. A family member with toxic beliefs is trying to completely take Charlee away from her mother and from me — the only father she has ever known.

This person has made deeply false and hurtful accusations that not only attack our parenting and family, but have also caused severe emotional distress to Charlee. These claims are rooted in personal bias and misinformation — and they are now threatening the only safe, loving, and stable home Charlee has ever known.

Charlee is just ten years old. Since this began, she has been experiencing serious emotional and psychological harm. She is terrified that she will be taken from her parents. She has been struggling to sleep, suffering from anxiety and nightmares, and crying in fear about her future. Her therapist, who she has been seeing for the last two years, has increased the frequency of their sessions due to the acute trauma she is now enduring.

No child should have to live in fear of being taken from the people who love and care for her most.

We are also in the middle of finalizing Charlee’s adoption — a process that would give her the lasting legal and emotional security she deserves. But both the custody battle and the adoption involve significant legal fees. Our attorney, who has been by our side every step of the way, now requires $7,500 to continue fighting for Charlee’s protection and finalize her adoption.
