On July 3rd 2023
my daughter Amelia-Rae was born sleeping. In the midst of the heartbreak and shock, I was given the gift of time❤️12 precious hours to hold her, talk to her, dress her, and say goodbye.
That was made possible by a Cuddle Cot. Though nothing could take away the pain of losing Amelia, having those final moments without being rushed meant the world to me. It gave me the chance to create memories, take photos, and simply be her mother, even if only for a little while.
That time helped me begin to grieve, to process, and to honour her life in a way I never imagined possible. Now, in Amelia’s memory, I want to give that same gift to other families who may one day face this unimaginable loss. By donating a Cuddle Cot to the University Hospital of Wales we can ensure that no parent has to say goodbye before they’re ready.
