Our dear 56-year-old son, grandfather, uncle and brother Juan Pablo Canon, dad of 3 children, travelled to Colombia to assist his 80-year-old parents who were in need of medical assistance. Juan Pablo took his regular afternoon nap but after waking up he was unable to speak or write. After losing mobility in his right arm he was immediately taken to the nearest hospital where we were told he unfortunately suffered from a stroke and had a brain aneurysm that ruptured. He is currently under induced coma to allow his body to go through the healing process.
Because he does not live in Colombia he does not have health insurance of any kind. The doctors explained that after they wake him he is going to need an extensive amount of therapy. All of us who know Juan Pablo personally know that he is extremely hard working, the life of the party, caring, energetic, funny and very talkative. All we want is for our dad, uncle, grandfather and brother to recuperate and have the medical assistance he needs in order to finally see him wear that beautiful smile he wears so perfectly and continue to be Juanpa again.
We are asking for help to help cover our beloved Juan Pablo’s hospital service and the recovery process that he will need. Any help is welcome, if you are unable to provide any financial aid we ask for you to please help us spread our message. Thank you. Nuestro querido hijo, tío y hermano Juan Pablo Canon de 56 años papá de 3 hijos, estaba de paso en Colombia visitando a sus padres de 80 años y sufrió un derrame cerebral. Después de una siesta Juan Pablo se despertó sin poder hablar, ni escribir, lo llevaron al hospital más cercano a urgencias, la cuenta va en 10.000 USD sin contar la fisioterapia para la recuperación
Desafortunadamente debido a que no vive en Colombia no tiene seguro médico de ningún tipo. Queremos pedirles su ayuda para que nuestro amado Juan Pablo pueda costear el servicio del hospital y el proceso de recuperación. Cualquier ayuda es bienvenida, en caso de no poder aportar ayuda económica les pedimos que nos ayuden a difundirlo.
