I'm reaching out today with a humble request for support on behalf of my wife, Mary Mills.

As many of you know, Mary has been bravely managing Parkinson's Disease and has problems with her mobility, making daily tasks a major challenge.

Our current and most pressing obstacle is the stairs in our home. With the bedroom and the only full bathroom located upstairs, navigating the staircase has become increasingly difficult, unsafe, and stressful for her and for those assisting her. This situation has meant Mary is unable to access essential areas of the house. To make our home safe and fully accessible, we urgently need to install a stair lift.

After a lot of careful research, I have found a reliable option that will allow her to move safely and independently throughout the house.

The total cost for purchasing and professionally installing the stair lift required for our home's staircase is approximately $3,000.00, including installation by a professional.

Unfortunately, many insurance plans, including Medicare/Medicaid (our insurance), do not cover home modifications like stairlifts, and our local agencies can't offer assistance in this amount of money. We are asking for help from our network of friends, family, and anyone who would like to help make this essential modification possible as soon as possible.
