Donation protected
On February 8th, John Whelan suffered a devastating accident while attending an event to support his son-in-law. He tragically fell down the stadium stairs and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered severe injuries: he had broken his patella in half, torn the ligament in his right knee, and torn the quad ligament in his left knee. He required immediate surgery and now faces a long, difficult recovery. and required immediate surgery.
Now facing a long and difficult recovery, John is unable to bear any weight on his legs and will be out of work for the foreseeable future. To make matters worse, his health insurance has refused to cover the critical care and support he needs.
John is a hardworking pipefitter who has always provided for his family. Now, we’re asking our community to rally around him in his time of need. Any contribution—big or small—will help ease his financial burden and allow him to focus on healing without added stress.
Let’s come together and help John get back on his feet.
