On the morning of October 30th, 2025, the Khan family’s life changed forever.

It began like any ordinary day. Kamrul got up to get ready for work, while Su was helping the kids prepare for school. He mentioned having a headache, assuming a quick meal would help it pass. But at around 8:30am, everything changed. Kamrul suddenly collapsed.

Su immediately called an ambulance. Paramedics arrived to discover he was suffering a severe heart attack. In those terrifying moments, Su had to shield their children from seeing what was unfolding, taking them upstairs while watching helplessly as Kamrul fought for his life.

As his condition worsened, a CareFlight helicopter was called. Kamrul was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in critical condition. Shaken and in shock, Su arranged for a family member to collect the children, while a neighbour rushed her to the hospital. She prayed desperately for good news.

When she arrived, doctors explained everything they had done during the flight and upon arrival. Then came the words no wife, no mother, no family member should ever hear:

“We tried everything, but your husband has died. I’m so sorry.”

In an instant, Su’s world shattered. She had to find the strength to tell her three beautiful children — Darian (10), Evie (9), and little Deeli (3) — that their dadda would never be coming home again.

It has now been four weeks since Kamrul’s sudden passing, and the family is still trying to comprehend this unimaginable loss. He was only 38 years old. He had no past medical history.

Kamrul and Su were together for 21 years. They were high school sweethearts.

Kamrul was not only a devoted husband and a loving father; he was the only son of his parents, a cherished brother-in-law, and an adored uncle. His absence has left a deep and heartbreaking void.

Why We’re Raising Funds

Kamrul’s passing was sudden, tragic, and completely unexpected. In the midst of grieving the loss of her soulmate, Su is now facing the overwhelming responsibility of raising three young children on her own — emotionally, physically, and financially.

This fundraiser has been created to support Su, Darian, Evie, and Adelia during this heartbreaking time. The funds will help ease the financial burden of:

• Immediate household and living expenses

• Providing stability for the children as they learn to navigate life without their dad
