Help Us Give Uncle David the Goodbye He Deserves

Hi, our beloved uncle David—affectionately known to everyone as “Uncle Dave”—passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2025, at the age of 67.

Though he never had children of his own, he helped raise all of his nieces and nephews and became a steady, loving presence in the lives of his great-nieces and great-nephews. He was more than just our uncle—he was the glue that held our family together. Without him, we are broken and reeling.

Dave had a warmth and humor that lit up every room. He truly believed every person was his best friend (and they felt the same way). Even while being allergic to dogs, he doted on all our pets like they were his own—that’s just the kind of person he was.

He lived with diabetes and faced many complications over the years, but he never let that steal his joy or dim the light he shared with others. In his final days, we witnessed how deeply that illness affected him—and how bravely he fought through it.

Because David was retired and on disability at the time of his passing, our family is struggling to cover the costs of viewing and funeral arrangements and final expenses. We want to give him the proper goodbye he deserves—and we are asking for help to make that possible.

If we’re blessed to raise more than we need, every additional dollar will be donated to a charity supporting children with diabetes, so that other families won’t have to watch their loved ones suffer the way we did.

Any contribution—big or small—means the world to us. And more importantly, it gives everyone who loved Dave the chance to say goodbye with dignity, love, and remembrance.

We kindly ask that, if adding a memo or note when donating, you specify that your donation is in honor of David.

Thank you so much.
