We are heartbroken to share the passing of beloved Shawn “Crushy” Canete - a son, brother, uncle and friend. He touched the lives of so many with his warmth, kindness, and selfless love.

Shawn was the kind of person who always put others first. He had a gentle soul, big heart and a way of making everyone feel seen and nurtured. Whether it was showing up with a favourite dessert or helping through tough moments, we could always count on Shawn to give much of himself to the people he loved.

He loved his nieces and nephews like no other, providing protection and a constant source of strength and love. His passing leaves an emptiness beyond words.

We’re creating this GoFundMe account to help cover funereal expenses and to provide Shawn with a dignified memorial that he deserves.
