It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved father, Marlo D. Waters Sr., born July 6, 1955, who left us on March 25, 2026. Our family is still in shock trying to process this sudden loss. To know that our dad was up, laughing, and talking one moment, and gone the next, has left us heartbroken beyond words. His passing occurred at a hospital in Virginia after he was neglected and mistreated at a rehabilitation facility in Virginia, and we are still searching for answers as we navigate this painful time.
Marlo was more than just a father—he was known as his pastor’s riding partner, a family mechanic to some, and always filled with love and laughter. He meant so much to everyone who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed. During this incredibly difficult time, we are asking for support to help cover funeral and burial expenses so we can give our dad the homegoing service he truly deserves. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward honoring his life and easing the financial burden on our family.
If you are unable to give, we ask that you please keep our family in your prayers and share this fundraiser with others. Thank you for your love, support, and kindness during this time. — The Waters Family
