Our beloved Marcellus passed unexpectedly on the morning of April 15, 2025. His loss has left our hearts shattered and our world forever changed. He was endlessly loved, and that love continues to ripple through the lives he touched.

Nam had a way of making you feel the mystery of life, and the miracle of being seen. Every connection he made was deep, intentional, and entirely unique, just like him. To be in his presence was to feel understood, uplifted, and alive. He moved through life with a light and grace that couldn’t be dimmed. He gave beauty to the world simply by being in it. To be loved by him was a gift. To know him was a lesson in joy, in depth, in what it means to be free.

On July 5th, we will gather beneath the stars to celebrate his life—not just a service, but a rite of return. A camping memorial filled with music, fire, food, silence, story, and deep love. It will be as free and soul-filled as he was, and we want it to hold the kind of magic he carried so naturally.

To make this possible, we’re raising $7,333 to support the sacred unfolding of his celebration of life. These funds will help with his composting—a natural return to the earth that reflects his values and spirit—along with nourishing food to share in community, and lodging for his family as they come together to honor him. Every contribution helps us create a farewell rooted in love, beauty, and belonging. Something worthy of him, and of all the people he moved and inspired.
