Help Us Honor the Life of José Javier Aguilar

Hi, my name is Vincent Aguilar Lopez and my father is Jose Javier Aguilar. My dad was born on July 24, 1953, in Oriental, Mexico. His life was a full one. I grew up listening to stories about him growing up in the mountains, running marathons, studying in Mexico City, and eventually immigrating to the United States in search of the oil fields and northern lights of Alaska. He ended up halfway in San Jose, California, where he met my mom. They ended up together for more than 34 years. As I write this, I am so grateful for both of them and what they did for me all my life.

On May 9th, 2025, we said goodbye to our beloved father, Jose Javier Aguilar. He passed away peacefully, and though his departure was expected, the loss is still deeply felt by everyone who knew and loved him.

Jose had a kind heart and a gentle soul. He was a nurturing father, always there with a listening ear, quiet wisdom, and unwavering support. He also shared a special bond with his dog, Happy, who was his faithful companion through many of life’s ups and downs.

We’re raising funds to help cover the expenses related to his passing, including the cost of a modest and intimate funeral service, legal probate fees, and settling his personal affairs. Additionally, we hope to support our mother during this difficult transition with help toward groceries and household bills.
