My name is Carolina Rodriguez, and I come to you not just as Erica’s cousin, but as someone who loves her like a sister. God made us cousins because He couldn’t make us sisters—but the bond we share is just as deep.

Earlier this year, our family was overjoyed to learn that we were growing. Friends and family alike were all patiently waiting and praying for this sweet little prince since the beginning of the year. Unfortunately, our joy has turned into heartbreak.

Just shortly after giving birth, Erica's precious baby boy was called home to be with the Lord. Words can’t express the pain and sorrow we’re feeling. As a mother myself, my heart is shattered for Erica, and our entire family is grieving this sudden and devastating loss.

We are now doing all we can to give this beautiful baby a proper, respectful, and loving burial—to send him off into the arms of our Father, Lord Jesus Christ. We ask for your help in making this possible.

Erica is currently resting and recovering, both physically and emotionally, and she needs all the strength she can gather to care for her baby girl, Erianny, who just turned two this month.
