It is with broken hearts that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of Candie Mendez on Saturday, July 19th, 2025. She was 52 years old.

Candie was a light in every room—lively, loving, and full of personality. You could often hear her joyful voice and laughter before you even saw her. She had a rare gift for making others feel loved and seen, and she poured that love into everything she did—especially during her favorite time of year, Christmas. Candie was obsessed with the holidays and found so much joy in giving. Her thoughtfulness and warmth made every gift feel like it came straight from the heart.

As her family grieves this painful loss, we are asking for support to help cover funeral expenses. Because her passing was so sudden, the financial burden has been heavy and unexpected. We are hoping to raise $8,000 to assist her husband and children with the costs of honoring her life and laying her to rest with the dignity she deserves.

I, Jordan, am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of her immediate family. Candie was my aunt, and it’s been incredibly hard to imagine life without her joy, her voice, and her love.
