Help Us Honor Tamia Davis's Memory

My name is Jamilah, and on November 3rd, 2025, my sister Tamia Davis (age 25) passed away due to an overdose. Our family still hasn’t been told the full story of what happened, but we know someone gave her a fentanyl pill. She was a true light in this world and was a giver. She went to the Air Force fresh out of high school with no regrets. She always looked out for others, even after her passing. Tamia was an organ donor and made sure she gave something one more time before she left this world. Tamia (Mia) was a loving mother, sister, granddaughter, and niece.

With little to no preparation, it’s truly falling on my grandmother and others trying to help to take care of her homegoing. We’ve tried the VA, and it’s only so much they can help with, so we’re trying whatever we can to make sure Mia has a peaceful homegoing.

After our mother passed away, my grandmother had to take that on as well after retiring, and sadly we don’t have enough to cover the cost of everything.

It’s with a heavy heart that I even have to ask for help, and I never thought I would have to do this, but times are hard and I’m asking for any help because anything helps. We haven’t been able to make any arrangements because of this. I do appreciate any and everything, and I hope to make even half of that to try to put my sister to rest.
