Help Us Honor Stephen J. Armstead Sr.'s Memory

Hello everyone, my name is Odessa. I am one of four children of Stephen J. Armstead Sr. Unfortunately, we have suffered the unexpected and devastating loss of our father, Stephen J. Armstead Sr., on 10/19/24 due to health complications.

Stephen was a dedicated, loving father of four and grandfather of four. His love was unwavering; he was selfless and would literally give his last penny if it was to make the ones he loved happy. He was wise and witty, intellectual and articulate. (He was also a really good singer.) One of his favorite things to do was spend quality time with his family (he didn’t let his health ailments hinder him), and we loved to spend quality time with him just as much! He took great pride in being a grandfather. He spent a lot of time with his grandkids; they kept him smiling and happy, they gave him life.

It is heart-wrenching and unreal to have to write in remembrance of him. He wasn't perfect, but he was a present and involved father!

The purpose of this fundraiser is to assist us financially with funeral costs as we have experienced a series of tragic events that have left us in a financial bind. I myself have had a recent stroke in August that required brain surgery and has left us with hospital bills to tend to, as well as me now being disabled, losing part of my vision, along with struggling with some of my physical movements, which essentially results in me being unable to work. I am in the recovery process, but I’m sure you can imagine the mental and emotional toll this has taken on my family as now we have also lost a huge support system and stable source of just unconditional love.

Anything helps and will be GREATLY appreciated during this extremely difficult time.
