Help Us Honor Skyzlee’s Memory
October 30,2025 - November 17,2025
We are truly heartbroken to share that our beloved Skyzlee has gained her wings so early in her journey. She was a fierce little warrior who fought bravely against all odds, and though her time with us was far too brief, her spirit touched our hearts and will forever be cherished.
Skyzlee's journey began when her bag ruptured at just 18 weeks along with her twin baby sister in the womb with her. Even though we didn't receive confirmation until the 20th week, she held on longer than many thought possible. At 29 weeks and 5 days, she made her entrance into the world on Oahu, as I was flown to Oahu for medical care, weighing only 3 pounds. As a premature baby, we knew we had to prepare for the challenges ahead as a family. Her lungs weren’t fully developed, but she showed us glimpses of hope on brighter days, sparking dreams of bringing her home to Hilo.
Skyzlee was more than just her medical journey. She was a little girl filled with love, spirit, and a feisty temper that made her personality shine even in the toughest circumstances, we knew our little girl was a fighter and we know she gave it her all. Just a week before her passing, she was preparing to transition off the CPAP, and we felt a huge wave of hope come over us as we watched her fight. However, on November 16, everything changed in a matter of hours.
Despite the care of incredible doctors and nurses, an episode of heavy bleeding led to a rapid decline in her condition. We were once again faced with the harsh reality of her fragility. She fought, but as the hours passed, her little body and Heavenly Father decided the journey should come to an end. By morning, she had gained her wings.
In honoring Skyzlee's memory and her twin sister , we are reaching out for support to cover the costs of her cremation and the travel expenses associated with bringing her back home to Hilo, Hawaii, from Oahu. Your contributions will help us give her the farewell she deserves and alleviate some of the financial challenges during this unimaginably difficult time.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help us remember and celebrate Skyzlee's life. Your kindness and generosity will allow us to focus on healing and cherishing the precious memories we hold dear.
Thank you for being part of Skyzlee's journey and for supporting our family in this time of need.
With love and gratitude,
Carvalho Ohana
