Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Sina Khun. He was 4 miles away from home when he was in a tragic motorcycle accident in Cambodia on October 17, 2025, at 7:51 pm (5:51 am in the United States time zone) in a country where he was born on 9/9/1976 and left at a young age. He is survived by his beloved wife, mom, dad, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. He was cherished and brought so much love and light to those who loved him and to our family lives. Sina married in 2003 to his beautiful bride and was hoping to live the American Dream, but that dream shattered and separated his family during his deportation in 2018. As Sina was getting used to having another faithful dream to make better of himself as a responsible citizen in Cambodia, his second dream shattered. Tragically, he passed away in a country he was getting used to and called home for 7 years.
As we come to accept the reality of Sina’s passing, we are faced with the difficult task of arranging his final farewell in Cambodia as we are oceans apart. Our family would want to give him the dignified and heartfelt send-off he deserves. Unfortunately, the financial burden of traveling and funeral expenses is overwhelming during this challenging time. As we all are grieving, we are reaching out to you, friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers, for support in honoring Sina’s memory. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate the financial strain and allow us to focus on remembering him fondly.
Your contribution raised will go towards expenses such as travel arrangements for funeral services, cremation cost, transport of his ashes to the US, and other memorial arrangements needed. Your generosity will make a significant and meaningful difference in ensuring that Sina is laid to rest with the dignity and respect he deserves. Our family appreciates your thoughts, prayers, and messages of support during this sad time. Your kindness means the world to us as we navigate through our grief.
Our family cannot thank you enough for your compassion and generosity!
