Donate to Sianna’s family after their loss

This GoFundMe campaign is for the parents of Sianna Nevaeh Eclevia, or “KODA”, who was called to Heaven on July 14th, 2024.

In 2022, at just 14 years old, Sianna was diagnosed with stage 4 “neuroblastoma”, a cancer that develops from immature nerve cells found in several areas of the body. Neuroblastoma most commonly arises in and around the adrenal glands, and Sianna had a primary tumor growing on her adrenal gland the size of a grapefruit. Her disease aggressively metastasized, spreading to her skull, jaw, hands, feet, legs, hips, arms and liver.

In the years that followed, Sianna and her family would continue to suffer, constantly processing and adjusting to their new reality. Her father, Jr, sacrificed clients and eventually income, going from working full time, to only a few days each month, so that he could focus on Sianna’s care. Her mother, Cheryl, is already the primary caregiver for her aging, 105 year old grandmother, and managed to stay on top of any available treatments, clinical trials and all of Sianna’s follow up care. Through it all, this family remained hopeful and positive.

Unfortunately, with every scan, Sianna’s cancer was still progressing. Jr and Cheryl had traveled many miles, even seeking care out of state, to help their daughter survive this. And when the physician care team advised that they had exhausted all options, Sianna transitioned to home hospice. She was only given days to live at that point, and requested to spend her time at home, surrounded by her loved ones. I can tell you from first-hand experience, that Sianna was the most kind, loving and gracious through her final days. When visited, she always made an effort to sit up and hug you, talk to you, despite her pain and exhaustion. Sianna took her last breath surrounded by friends and family on the evening of Sunday, July 14th.

All of the love, support and prayers given to Jr and Cheryl is very much appreciated, but their struggle did not end after Sianna’s passing. Every out of state trial, consultation, added imaging studies, etc., were NOT covered by their medical insurance. Our dear friends are now facing a significant financial debt that they alone will not be able to handle. So I am assisting them by asking our community to help ease or even eliminate this burden. Doing this will not only take a huge weight off their shoulders, but these grieving parents can then focus on healing, and can fulfill Sianna’s last wish of having her ashes spread in Hawaii.

Please note that Sianna did have a well-funded life insurance policy, with a living benefit that could have been used toward her medical treatment. Unfortunately the owner of this policy, decided to not use any of those funds towards Sianna. We are counting on friends and family to get them through this financial hardship. Thank you.
