Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Sheila Evans, who departed this life on May 15, 2025. Sheila was more than just a mother to our family; she was a mother to the community. She opened her heart and home to countless people over the years, always accepting and loving friends, neighbors, and even strangers as her own.

Sheila was a fighter, the strongest woman I’ve ever known. Over the past four years, she beat cancer not once, but twice, showing remarkable courage and determination. However, as a result of her chemotherapy treatments, she developed chronic kidney disease, and in time, was diagnosed with both full kidney failure and full liver failure. On top of these challenges, she faced multiple other serious health complications.

She spent the last four months in the hospital; fighting for her life with the same strength and grace she always carried. Sadly, despite her resilience and our prayers, she eventually succumbed to her illnesses.

While our hearts are heavy with grief from such a profound loss, we are also filled with gratitude for the beautiful life she lived. We cherish every memory and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

She had an unshakable faith and a generous spirit. Whether it was a warm meal, a listening ear, or a place to rest, Sheila gave freely to those in need without hesitation. Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and unwavering kindness, a true testament to a life well lived.

As we prepare to give her the dignified homegoing celebration she deserves, we are reaching out for financial support to help cover the funeral expenses. Our goal is to raise $8,000, which will go directly toward funeral arrangements and service related needs.
