In Loving Memory of Ricky Basinger

Hi, my name is Jake Stargel, and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my family after the heartbreaking loss of my uncle, Ricky Basinger, who tragically took his own life on Thursday, July 17th, 2025.

Ricky was more than just my uncle—he was a son, a brother, a friend, and someone who always tried to bring light to those around him, even when he was struggling in darkness himself. His passing has left our hearts shattered and our family reeling with grief.

This loss was unexpected, and we are now facing the emotional and financial weight of planning funeral arrangements and supporting those closest to him during this incredibly difficult time. We are humbly asking for any help you can provide—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page—to ease some of the burdens and help us honor Ricky with the dignity and love he deserves.

All funds will go directly toward funeral expenses and memorial services. Any remaining amount will be used to support mental health awareness and suicide prevention efforts in Ricky’s name.
