Help Lay Ricardo “Richie” Diaz to Rest

On Friday, May 23rd, 2025, our beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, Ricardo “Richie” Diaz, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 66. His sudden and unexpected passing has left our family in shock, unprepared emotionally and financially for the expenses that come with saying goodbye.

Richie was a cornerstone of the El Paso community, known not only for his decades of skilled work in auto body repair but for his big heart, generous spirit, and ability to make friends wherever he went. If you needed help, a laugh, or a quick fix on your car, Richie was there. He built a life around service—to his family, his friends, and his community.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Bertha Rojas Diaz, and his son, Michael J. Diaz, who are now faced with the overwhelming task of making final arrangements while grieving an incredible loss. Our family is coming together in every way we can, but we humbly ask for your support to help cover the funeral and burial costs.

We want to honor Richie’s memory in a way that reflects the love and kindness he gave so freely to others. Any amount you can contribute will help ease this unexpected burden and bring comfort in knowing that he will be laid to rest with the dignity he deserves.
