My father, Raymond Smola, was a hard working man with a positive attitude and an act for making friends wherever he went. Unfortunately he had been battling COPD for the last 15 years. As the disease progressed, he was forced to stop working because he became too frail and was having a hard time finding his way through life. About 9 years ago, I took him under my wing and purchased a small house to share with my father so he would have a warm, safe place to lay his head.
I came home from tour in early October to find him very ill, and we spent the last 36 days fighting for his life in the ICU of many hospitals, until the hospital finally got the best of him on November 19th with pneumonia.
As I work to give him a respectful and loving farewell, I am facing funeral/burial costs we were not prepared for. We’re humbly asking for any support you can offer to help cover these expenses. Every donation, share, and prayer means so much to us during this difficult time.
Thank you for helping us honor Raymond Smola. We are deeply grateful for the love and support we have already received.
With gratitude,
Jen Smola
