It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Paula Atkinson, on October 31, 2025 at approximately 4:20 in the afternoon (yes—on Halloween; unforgettable in life, and now also in death).
Although we are absolutely heartbroken, we find comfort in knowing that Paula is rejoicing in heaven—reunited with her loving husband, Jim; her beautiful daughter, Monica; her parents, Bill and Betty Wilson; her twin brother, Paul; her sister, Cathy Wilson; and all her cherished family who have gone before her. She is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father—whole again and at peace.
Paula was truly the life of the party. She never met a stranger, could make anyone laugh, and had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved. Her bright spirit and generous heart touched countless lives, and her absence leaves a hole that can never be filled.
As we navigate this difficult time and prepare to celebrate her incredible life, we are asking for help to cover memorial expenses, final medical bills, as well as attorney and probate costs related to settling her estate. Any amount—no matter how small—will make a difference and help ease the financial burden on our family during this season of loss.
A Note About Fees:
GoFundMe (and most crowdfunding platforms) does not charge a fee to start or manage a fundraiser. However, there is a small payment processing fee of about 2.9% + 30¢ per donation that helps cover credit card and transaction costs. We want to be transparent and let everyone know that this is automatically deducted from each donation before it reaches us.
We are deeply grateful for every contribution—no matter the amount. Every dollar truly helps us cover the costs of Mom’s memorial and legal expenses.
Your support, prayers, and kind words mean more to us than we can express. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us honor Paula’s memory and give her the beautiful farewell she deserves.
With love and gratitude,
The Family of Paula Atkinson
