I am the mother to 4 beautiful children. My oldest and first love James Walter Gestwicki tragically went missing November 3rd in Gallatin TN and was found 7 days later deceased. We have been traveling out of state to search for him and now return back to his hometown of Cortland Ohio for his final arrangements. James did not have any kind of benefits or insurance. His father Scott and I are not prepared to bury our only child together at the age of 24. This was not how we planned for his life. We had such high hopes for him to find the life he deserved which seemed always out of his reach considering all the personal battles he faced being diagnosed autism, adhd, anxiety, depression, hyper vigilance, and bi-polar. We put all our energy and funds into trying to find programs that would help him and also supported him financially both in Ohio and Alabama. We never anticipated and set funds aside for the sudden costs involved in a burial and funeral. We have to purchase a burial spot, casket, funeral, and all the other costs involved with the events of this past week. We never wanted to create a gofundme for anything but we want to honor our sons wishes that we do know he shared in past times. We want to honor his wishes and put him to his final resting place as he wished. Anything you can offer will be appreciated beyond measure as we navigate this literal nightmare. If monetary is not something you have available we just as importantly ask that you please continue to pray for his father, myself, his siblings, and extended family. We are crushed beyond measure. We were told that our dear boy will return home from Tennessee on Sunday November 16.
