Help Us Lay Our Mother to Rest After Her Courageous Fight with Cancer

Our beautiful mother was the strongest woman we’ve ever known. For nearly three years, she fought an exhausting and heartbreaking battle with small cell carcinoma lung cancer — the same cancer that took her sister’s life. Even after watching her sister go through it, she faced her own diagnosis with bravery, faith, and determination.

She refused to let cancer define her. She kept working as much as she could, went to the gym to stay strong, and continued pursuing her doctorate — all while enduring treatments, hospital stays, and the daily pain that came with her illness. She truly believed she could overcome anything, and she showed us what real courage and perseverance look like.

On September 12th, everything changed. Our mom fell and hit her head, which led to complications from the cancer that had spread to her brain. She spent 44 long days in the hospital, fully paralyzed, but she never stopped fighting. Even then, she told every doctor and every one of us that she would fight until her last breath. And she did.

As a single mother, she gave everything she had to her children. Throughout her illness, we stood by her side every step of the way — emotionally, physically, and financially. There were many times we couldn’t work because she needed us, and we wouldn’t have had it any other way. But now, we are left heartbroken and trying to find the means to give her the beautiful farewell she deserves.

We are asking for help to cover funeral expenses and to support her children as we navigate this devastating loss. Losing her has been the most painful and traumatic experience of our lives. Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward honoring her memory and helping our family through this time of grief.

Our mom was a fighter, a role model, and our best friend. Her strength, love, and spirit will live on forever in all of us.
