On Saturday, August 23, 2025, my dad, Mark Green, passed away very unexpectedly.
My dad was my best friend. He was hilarious, trustworthy, loyal, intelligent, talented, and so much more. If you knew my dad, you knew how kind-hearted and selfless he was. He was the type of person who would drop everything to help someone in need—no questions asked. If he had something to give and you needed it, it was yours. If not, he would find a way to help you. He hated seeing anyone sad or struggling.
For the past 11 months, my partner and I were lucky enough to care for him in our home after he was diagnosed with a chronic illness. He didn’t talk much about what he was going through to many people because he never wanted anyone to worry or feel bad for him. That was just who he was: strong, stubborn, and always thinking about everyone else first.
As much as I hate to do this, unfortunately, my dad did not leave behind any savings, funds, or life insurance to help with final expenses. My brothers and I are now left to not only grieve the loss of our dad but to cover the costs of his burial and memorial service as well as the medical expenses that built up during his illness.
We want nothing more than to honor our dad in the way he deserves—with dignity, love, and peace. If you feel moved to help, any contribution—no matter how small—would mean the world to our family. Every dollar will go directly toward his final arrangements and outstanding medical costs.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support, your love, and for helping us celebrate the life of a man who gave so much to so many.
