Help Us Honor Nate with a Permanent Memorial
Donation protected
Today, November 18th, would be my son Nathan's 46th birthday. But, as many of you know, he succumbed to colon cancer in October 2022. Nathan left behind a wife, a five-year old son and an 8-month old baby boy.
To compound the family's grief, his wife, Melissa was diagnosed with breast cancer, just 12 months after Nate's death. It was unbelievably hard on her, but she's a survivor. She's now cancer free. But these two years have taken a toll. She and the boys are moving to Phoenix to be closer to family so they'll have more support.
In all this time since Nathan passed, we never had the financial means to establish a memorial for him. That's what we are raising funds for now. Before he passed, Nathan told me he wanted a "permanent marker" -- in Los Angeles. He loved L.A. -- it was his dream, the place he believed held so much promise. It's the place where he launched his screenwriting career, met his wife, and where their two sons were born. He wanted a marker to prove, "I was here."
We're looking at a cemetery in the Hollywood Hills near Griffith Park. He would have liked that. And even though she's moving, Melissa will be back, and so will the rest of his family. His boys will always have a place to come to pay their respects.
We hope that all the people who loved Nate will consider contributing whatever they're able to. Our entire family will be eternally grateful.
With love and deep gratitude,
Jean
