Hello family and friends. I know it's the holidays and I hate to ask for help. Everyone who knows me knows this. I understand it's the holidays, which is a tough time for everyone, but my father got admitted the day before Thanksgiving. With that being said, we found out he had terminal cancer. Hospice was put in place due to him being out of state and on disability. Humana covered what they could, but Medicare refuses due to him being out of state. As of Thursday, Dec 18th, hospice said he had a few days to a week. As of today, he is unresponsive, can't open his eyes, and can no longer shake his head. He also is on day 4 with no food. This was not only my father but my best friend and my children's main old fart, as they say. I'm trying to be strong, but watching him go through this and being helpless is very painful. Like I said, I understand not everyone has money during the holidays, but even encouraging words would help. Due to me having major heart surgery, I am on disability myself. It sucks, wrong timing, and it hurts at the same time to feel weak and useless . Thanks to anyone who takes the time to even read this. I will be following up with a petition after this because I don't think it matters if you're out of state and he pays for insurance out of his check. I never want anyone else to have this burden on their chest. Thank you, and God bless everyone .
