Help Us Honor Monafa Burch-Sanders’ Memory
With heavy hearts, we share the devastating loss of Monafa Burch-Sanders, who passed away on February 12, 2025. Born with epilepsy, Monafa faced every known type of seizure and underwent multiple surgeries and brain studies throughout her life. Despite the challenges, she was a true fighter, defying the odds and blessing us with 31 incredible years.
Monafa relied on a pacemaker to help her through seizures and required medication to prevent overstimulation and constant episodes. Though we knew her journey would be difficult, nothing could have prepared us for this tragic loss. After an hour of resuscitation attempts by paramedics, she sadly did not make it.
Our family is in complete disbelief and heartbreak. Unfortunately, we were not prepared for this sudden loss, and we are reaching out for support to help cover funeral expenses and honor Monafa’s memory properly. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference during this difficult time.
We deeply appreciate your kindness, prayers, and support. Thank you for helping us give Monafa the farewell she deserves.
Beyond Monafa’s journey, epilepsy affects millions of people worldwide, yet it remains widely misunderstood. In addition to helping with funeral costs, any extra funds raised will be donated to epilepsy research and advocacy organizations to support others battling this condition. We want Monafa’s legacy to be one of awareness, hope, and change for those still fighting.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in laying Monafa to rest and supporting a cause that was deeply connected to her life. We appreciate your kindness, prayers, and generosity during this difficult time.
Thank you for standing with us in honoring Monafa and supporting epilepsy awareness.
