Honoring the Life and Legacy of Moises Rodriguez
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved father, Moises Rodriguez, who passed away on June 10th, 2025, at the age of 64.
Our dad lived a life of deep compassion and quiet strength. He was the kind of man who gave more than what was ever asked of him, generous to the core, even when he had little to give. He devoted his life to helping others, always finding a way to serve and support those around him. Whether it was through offering his time, his home, or simply his listening ear, Moises lived selflessly and humbly.
Even after enduring difficult chapters in life that could have left him bitter, he found healing and restoration through faith. In the last years of his life, he returned to God with a renewed passion and commitment. He became a faithful church member, loved and respected by his community. One of his greatest joys was preaching the Word of God and telling others about the love and hope found in Jesus. His passion for the Gospel was deeply felt by all who knew him.
Moises was a construction painter for over 40 years, a hardworking man who took pride in his craft and never backed down from a hard day’s work. He supported his two sons, guiding them through life with love, quiet wisdom, and unwavering presence. He loved baseball, building things with his hands, and simply spending quality time with his sons, whether over lunch or something as small as grabbing a cone of ice cream. He gave more than we could ever repay, not just materially but emotionally and spiritually.
His passing has left an immeasurable void in our hearts. He was more than a father, he was our strength, our foundation, and our example of perseverance, generosity, and faith.
We are now working to honor one of his final wishes: to be laid to rest with his parents in the Dominican Republic. As his children, we are organizing every part of this process ourselves. We're asking for help to raise $22,700 to cover the full cost of transporting him and providing a respectful, faith-honoring burial.
Your donations will help cover:
International transport of our father’s body to the Dominican Republic
Funeral service expenses in the U.S. and in D.R.
Casket and embalming services
Burial plot and fees in the cemetery where his parents rest
Airfare and travel costs for immediate family accompanying him
Legal/document processing required for international transport and burial
We know our father never wanted anything extravagant, just something simple and dignified that honored his life and faith. Your generosity will help us fulfill that for him.
If you knew Moises, you know he touched many lives with quiet kindness, strong faith, and an open heart. If you didn’t know him, we hope this gives you a small window into the beautiful life he lived.
We thank you in advance for your support, your prayers, and for helping us bring our father home.
With love and gratitude,
His sons and family
