It is with the heaviest hearts that we are writing this right now. Our niece Mickey has spent the last week at Loma Linda battling to come out of a coma, but in the end, it was too much. She took her place in heaven next to her Uncle Cody on November 5th. Mickey turned 18 years old just 10 days before this started. She was taken too early and our family is devastated to say the least. She is a sister to 4 brothers, a daughter, granddaughter, niece, friend and so much more to so many of you. We’ve already felt an outpour of love from so many of you and we can’t begin to thank you enough. It’s so clear that Mickey was loved by so many people. Her wild spirit is easy to love and impossible to forget.

Tomorrow she will be donating her organs and saving the lives of three other children. Her heart will live on through their lives.

The next step is to plan her funeral so we can all come together to celebrate her life and hopefully get some form of closure for our family. It is really hard asking for help, however, no one plans for a funeral for a child and we’ve already had people asking how they can help. We are asking for help with the expenses that come with putting her to rest. Anything is so, so very appreciated. If you can’t, your prayers and love is enough. Thank you all so much.
