Hello, our family is reaching out to the community for help as we prepare to say goodbye to the heart of our family, Mary.

To many, she is known as Mom, Grandma, Nina, Sister, Cousin, and Friend, but to most of us, she is lovingly called Aunt Nena. Mary is the kind of woman who opened her doors to everyone. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, tortillas, and comfort food that brought people together in every season of life. She welcomed you with open arms and made you feel like family.

In 2013, Mary suffered a stroke that changed everything. Since then, she has faced an uphill battle, from congestive heart failure that led to a triple bypass, to a difficult journey with diabetes. Over the years, she also endured recurring urinary tract infections, and ultimately the loss of her leg. Despite all these hardships, she remained strong and full of love.

Today, her body is tired. She is now succumbing to infection and kidney failure, and her time with us is limited. As we face the heartbreaking reality of her final days, we are trying to prepare for her funeral and end-of-life expenses.

Mary did not have life insurance, and the costs of giving her the peaceful, dignified goodbye she deserves are overwhelming. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to cover these final expenses and to honor her life in the way she lived it, full of love and surrounded by family.
