Help Us Honor the Life and Memory of Mark Davis
On July 14, 2026, our family suffered an unimaginable loss when my beloved brother, Mark Davis, was tragically struck and killed by a pickup truck while waiting at a Metro bus stop on Southern Avenue and Suitland Road in Washington, D.C. Mark had just celebrated his 37th birthday one month before his life was tragically taken from him. He was a lifelong resident of the Washington, D.C. area, including Largo, Maryland. He was a part of this community his entire life. He attended school in Washington, D.C., where he made memories that shaped the person he became.
Mark faced mental health challenges throughout his life, but those challenges never defined who he was. He was a human being with a story, a personality, and people who loved him. He was our family, and his life had value and meaning. His sudden passing has left our family heartbroken and facing unexpected financial and emotional challenges. We are raising funds to help with funeral and burial expenses, estate-related costs, and the many responsibilities that come after losing a loved one in such a tragic way. We are also seeking answers and accountability while honoring Mark’s memory and the life he lived.
Our family is asking everyone to please remember that every life matters. According to the circumstances surrounding this tragedy, Mark was hit by a driver who was allegedly impaired. We ask everyone to please slow down, never drive under the influence, and remember that one decision behind the wheel can change a family’s life forever.
