Help Us Honor Lilian Louison Breeden's Legacy

My name is Esther Fesale, and alongside my brother and sisters I have been caring for my mom Lilian Louison Breeden as she has struggled with a long and challenging health battle.

Now, we are heartbroken to say that she has reached the end of her road, and will be taken off of life support at the end of the week.

This time, as we have grappled with her illness and prepared for her passing, has been unbelievably hard for our family. I have traveled up and down the East Coast to do everything in my power to keep her as comfortable as possible, despite living thousands of miles away, and to make sure she knows how abundantly she is loved. But now we are facing an additional crisis as we prepare to say our goodbyes--we have just learned that her insurance coverage was not renewed. Because of that, we are now struggling to cover the medical expenses from her hospice care, as well as the cost of her funeral and burial.

My mom was not only a loving, caring, compassionate mother to me and my brother and sisters, but a doting grandmother to fourteen grandchildren and great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren. Family was vital to her, and we want to see her off with the love and dignity that she deserves, that she has given to all of us and to so many others who have been touched by her life.
