My name is Violet, and I am raising funds to honor the memory of my beloved daughter, Lacey. Recently, an artist named Brian McGuire from Ireland, who is known for his work with Murdered and Missing Indigenous People in America, learned about Lacey’s story. After meeting me in person and hearing about her life, he invited me to participate in the First Memorial MMIP Art Gallery. This event, which began in Missoula, Montana, has now moved to New York City. It is a powerful tribute to families like mine, but each family must find their own way to attend.
My sister’s family and I have been given the opportunity to be part of this important memorial, but we need help to make the journey possible. The funds raised will go directly toward airfare, food, and taxi rides in New York City, allowing us to be present at the gallery and honor Lacey’s memory alongside other families. Being there means so much to us, as it is a chance to keep Lacey’s name and spirit alive, and to connect with others who understand our loss.
Your help and support would mean the world to me. Any donation, big or small, will help us get to New York City and ensure that Lacey’s story is remembered. She was loved by many, a bright soul who lit up every room she entered. Lacey was my only child, and I want her name to live on. Lacey is forever 16. Thank you for considering supporting our journey and helping us honor her memory.
