My heart is completely broken.

On November 17, 2025, my son Josue Cornejo, only 23 years old from Richmond, CA, was tragically taken from me in a sudden shooting near our home. Josue was a good son, a loving friend, and a humble young man with a big heart. He didn’t deserve this.

We are a humble Salvadoran family, and Josue was trying to help us get back on our feet. We were even planning to move back soon to be closer to family, but this tragedy has changed everything. I am still in shock and in so much pain. Losing him this way has broken us.

Because this happened so unexpectedly, I do not have the money to give my son the funeral and burial he deserves. I’m asking our community, family, and friends to please help us during this difficult time.
