On the evening of October 20th, 2025, tragedy struck our family when Rakeeb “Jaqai” Watson, just 18 years old, was taken from us far too soon. Around 6:30 p.m. on 18th and Park Street, Jaqai was shot multiple times and sadly did not make it.

Jaqai had just graduated high school last year. He was smart, athletic, and full of potential — a young man with a bright, brave future ahead. He was an amazing big brother to his little sister and two younger brothers, someone they truly looked up to. His family and friends are devastated by this loss, and we’re struggling to come to terms with the reality that he’s gone.

We’re asking for help to cover funeral and burial expenses, and to support his mother and siblings through this heartbreaking time. Any donation, no matter how small, will help us honor Jaqai’s memory and give him the proper farewell he deserves.
