Help Us Honor Henry Kai's Legacy
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Henry Kai. He was more than a grandfather to me; he took care of me early in my childhood, and he was as kind as he was wise, a man who brought joy, warmth, and care to those he met.
As we come together to celebrate his life, we humbly reach out for support to help cover the costs of his funeral and memorial services. Funeral expenses are indeed overwhelming, and we want to give Henry the farewell he deserves—a service that honors his memory and the impact he made on all of us.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 to cover his cremation, funeral service, burial, and some hospice care which have incurred in the days leading up to his departure, and his final flight home to his resting place in New York.
While he was a former enlisted soldier in the U.S. Army in the early days of the Korean Conflict, he had since been honorably discharged, and will, in some small way, be granted some benefit from the office of Veteran Affairs, but this would unlikely cover his burial in a meaningful way.
Any contribution, big or small, will make a huge difference and ease the burden during this difficult time. If you're unable to contribute financially, we kindly ask for your support in sharing this campaign with others who knew and/or loved Henry. Your prayers, kind words, and memories are also deeply appreciated.
Thank you for helping us honor the life of someone so special. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us.
With gratitude,
The Lai and Kai Tom family
