Gabbi was my little sister, and she meant the world to our family. Just last night, she went in for what was supposed to be a routine surgery, but things took a tragic turn. During the procedure, Gabbi went into cardiac arrest and passed away. She was only a teenager, with her whole life ahead of her, and our hearts are broken by this sudden loss.

Both my brother and I are in the military and live far from where Gabbi's funeral will be held. The unexpected travel expenses, along with the high costs of giving her the burial service she deserves, have put a tremendous strain on our family. We want to honor Gabbi's memory in the best way possible, but we simply aren't in a position to afford everything she deserves on our own.

Gabbi was a clarinetist at Mount Vernon High School and loved music—any type of music. She would sit and play her clarinet for her loved ones whenever they were around, and we all adored those moments as much as we adored her. Gabbi was truly the kindest person you could meet. She would do anything to make you smile, was always sweet, and had only nice things to say about everyone, no matter their circumstances.
