Our family is facing one of the most heartbreaking moments of our lives. Our beloved mom, Filipinas Furuc, is currently on hospice, and we’ve been told she likely has only 12–24 hours left with us. We are trying to stay by her side, cherishing every last moment and preparing to say goodbye.

As we walk through this unimaginable loss, we’ve also been hit with unexpected financial hardship. We recently learned that my mom had fallen behind on property taxes, something my dad was unaware of. Our family is now facing the very real possibility of foreclosure on the home they built their life in. At the same time, we are trying to prepare for funeral and burial expenses for our mom, which we simply do not have the funds to cover.

We are asking for help so we can give Filipinas the respectful and loving service she deserves, ease the overwhelming financial burden on our dad, and catch up on property taxes to help prevent foreclosure and keep our dad in his home. Filipinas is deeply loved — a devoted wife, a caring mother, and the heart of our family. Right now, we want to focus on honoring her life and supporting my dad through this devastating time, without the added fear of losing everything else.
