We recently lost someone truly irreplaceable. Darren “Tree” Wallace Sr. passed away on April 22, 2026, at the age of 64, and the hole he has left behind is felt by everyone whose life he touched.
Tree was the kind of person who made you feel seen. Whether he was fighting for workers’ rights on a picket line or simply walking into a room, his energy was magnetic. He never did anything halfway — he showed up fully, loudly, and with his whole heart every single time.
He was a protector, an advocate, and a constant source of encouragement for those around him. To know Tree was to know what it looks like when someone genuinely cares about people — not just the ones closest to him, but anyone who needed a voice or someone in their corner.
We are asking for your help to ease the financial burden on his family as they navigate funeral and burial costs during this painful time. No amount is too small. What matters most is that we come together — just the way he always brought us together.
