My dad very suddenly and unexpectedly passed away this morning due to a stroke and cardiac arrest. I can’t begin to explain how deeply this has impacted my family. If you knew my dad, you knew him for his invincible nature. He had overcome so much in his 62 years, and I thought surely he had another 20 in him. He moved in with me a few weeks ago, and it was the best decision I ever made. Having him here with me and the kids was a blessing I didn’t know I needed.

My dad was always a live-fast-and-live-for-today kind of personality and didn’t really plan for the future. It was something we had been working on before he passed, especially since a stroke and a broken hip earlier last year left him unable to work. He was in the process of getting Social Security or disability, but he wasn’t able to do that before passing away. With that being said, he also had no death insurance either, so we are asking for help in covering the cost of a cremation and a small celebration of life. It is bizarre to even be writing this seeing as just yesterday morning we were sitting together having coffee in the kitchen. Any and all help is so appreciated, even prayers and well wishes.
