After battling with lung cancer for a little more than five months, my Dad passed away today, July 9 (early morning of July 10 in the Philippines).

I won't say he died peacefully. My dad went through a round of chemo for a week during the last week of June and got home on July 2.

Unfortunately, he was in so much pain and had some complications, so he had to be admitted again in the hospital for monitoring and pain management.

Right now, the hospital won't release my dad unless we pay off the bill from when he was admitted, so we can give him a proper wake and burial.

I know we're all going through a lot in life, but every little help you can give will help us with the bills we need to pay now that he's gone.
