Help Us Honor Corky Peak's Memory

Donation protected
Recently, as most of you know, we lost our dad after a long battle with COPD. Rory “Corky” Peak took his last breath on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Every breath prior to that revolved around his kids and grandkids. They were truly his world. And, he was our world just as much as we were his.

Let me tell you a little bit about him...
Corky grew up in Mountain Home, Idaho. He was that friend you could call on if you needed anything at all. He was a family man who raised 4 kids. He never missed a single one of my school events! His career and passion, before he became disabled, was Wildland Firefighting. He was a hero!
After he could no longer work due to blood clots and surgeries in his legs, he moved in with my grandmother, where he helped care for her and her property for 10 years or better. He loved everyone fiercly. If it weren't for my Dad taking care of my girls 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, I would have never been able to go to Cosmetology School. And, it didn't matter where we were- Idaho City, Weiser, Boise... he was always there, showing up for us. He would visit every day, or stay a week or two at a time. When we were displaced, without a home, he came and camped with us. I will forever remember every single little thing that man did for me. And then, in the last 5 years, what I could do for him. We moved him in, remodeled our house (with his help)- to create another bedroom, fed him, took him to his doctor appointments, and spent precious time with him. We loved every moment of it, and I would have done that for him for even longer, if I could have! He will truly, from the deepest parts of my soul, be missed so greatly that words just can't explain.

Him being in and out of the hospital 4 times over the past year, several ICU stays, 2 life flights, not to mention all the doctor appointments, has taken a financial toll on our family. As we look towards Cremation and Memorial Expenses, we are setting up a GoFundMe to help support our memorial endeavors and financial losses. Even sharing this post would be extremely helpful. Thank you all for your love, support, and kind words during this difficult time. The love that you all have poured into our family will never be forgotten.
