Help Us Honor Chino’s Final Wish

Hi, my name is Sarah, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart.

My dad, Chino, is currently battling stage 4 cancer. His journey started back in 2023 when we found out he had rectal cancer. Since then, he has gone through so much—chemotherapy, radiation, an ostomy bag, and multiple surgeries. He fought through every step with strength.

After his last surgery, he developed an infection that never fully went away. Over time, the cancer spread to his liver. Now, we’ve been told that he’s too weak for further treatment, and our focus has shifted to keeping him comfortable and surrounded by love.

Anyone who knows my dad knows the kind of person he is—respectful, caring, and always there when people needed him. He spent much of his life working in security, protecting and looking out for others. That’s just who he is… someone who takes care of people.

But to me, he’s more than that. He’s my dad—the one who could always make me laugh no matter what I was going through.

He’s also a son. My grandmother is 86 years old, and she has already experienced the pain of losing her daughter, Letty—my dad’s sister. Now, she is facing the unimaginable again.

One of my dad’s final wishes is to be laid to rest next to his sister Letty, who he loved deeply. The thought of being beside her again brings him peace, and as his family, we want to do everything we can to make that happen—not just for him, but for my grandmother as well.

The reality is, the cost of funeral and burial arrangements is more than we can afford right now. This is incredibly hard for us to ask, but we are reaching out for help so we can honor his wish and give him the rest he deserves.

Chino is a father, a grandfather, a son, and someone who means the world to all of us. We just want to do right by him.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would truly mean everything to our family during this time. Even if you’re unable to donate, sharing this would mean so much to our family.
